Anne Kinsey Call, age 92, of Bloomington died Tuesday, March 1, at Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington. Born January 1, 1924 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Dr. Alfred Charles and Clara McMillen Kinsey. She attended Oberlin College before transferring to the University of Washington in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated with a degree in dress design. She worked as a designer in Chicago and elsewhere before becoming a mother and homemaker. She lived in Winnetka, Illinois and Ogden Dunes, Indiana before returning to her hometown of Bloomington over 35 years ago. She...

Anne Kinsey Call, age 92, of Bloomington died Tuesday, March 1, at Meadowood Health Pavilion in Bloomington. Born January 1, 1924 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Dr. Alfred Charles and Clara McMillen Kinsey. She attended Oberlin College before transferring to the University of Washington in St. Louis, Missouri where she graduated with a degree in dress design. She worked as a designer in Chicago and elsewhere before becoming a mother and homemaker. She lived in Winnetka, Illinois and Ogden Dunes, Indiana before returning to her hometown of Bloomington over 35 years ago. She was a member and supporter of Kappa Kappa Gamma and actively served as a volunteer with, among others, Tulip Trace Council of Girl Scouts, Bloomington Hospital Board of Directors including a term as President, and the Indiana University Art Museum where she was a docent for over 10 years.

She is survived by her daughter Dr. Wendy Corning and her husband Dennis Clerkin, of Bloomington; her son Warren "Kin" Corning and his wife Patricia, of Abinger Hammer, Surrey, England; her step-daughter Susanna Fennema and her husband David, of Lawton, Oklahoma; her step-son Dean "Jack" Call, Jr. and his wife Margaret Gavit, of Palatine, Illinois; Kin and Patricia's son Patrick Corning, of Southampton, Hampshire, England; Susanna and David's son Jeff Fennema, his wife Kyleen, and their daughter Olivia, of Los Angeles, California; Margaret and Jack's son Steven Schwegman, of Chicago, Illinois; and her brother Bruce Kinsey and his wife Barbara, of Brunswick, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Warren Hill Corning, her second husband Dean Jackson Call, her brother Donald McMillen Kinsey (at 4 years of age), and her sister Joan Kinsey Reid.

A private family burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bloomington on March 5. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life from 2-5 pm on Saturday, March 26 at Deer Park Manor, Bloomington.
